Private Psychiatric Assessment in the UK Psychiatric evaluations are an important first step in identifying mental disorders. However, these appointments can be costly. The cost can be covered by private health insurance. A majority of the hospital-based liaison psychiatry services surveyed did not have enough privacy to conduct psychiatric assessments.
